Modern Slavery Statement
Financial Year: 2025/2026
Status: Voluntary Disclosure
At Pejayz, operated by HamzaPvt LTD, we are committed to ensuring that our business and supply chain are free from any form of modern slavery, forced labour, or human trafficking. We believe in ethical trade and transparency, and we hold our partners to the same high standards we set for ourselves.
1. Our Business & Structure
Pejayz is a UK-based retailer specialising in premium tech accessories, footwear, and lifestyle goods. We operate primarily online, serving customers across the United Kingdom. As a private limited company (HamzaPvt LTD), our leadership is directly involved in overseeing our procurement and ethical standards.
2. Our Supply Chain
Our supply chain involves the sourcing of finished goods from reputable manufacturers and distributors.
-
Direct Suppliers: We prioritise working with suppliers who have established ethical policies and are based in jurisdictions with strong labour laws.
-
Visibility: We strive for "one-up" visibility, ensuring we know not only our direct suppliers but also the standards of the factories where our products are manufactured.
3. Our Policies
We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery. Our commitment is supported by the following internal guidelines:
-
Anti-Slavery Policy: We explicitly prohibit the use of forced, bonded, or involuntary labour in any part of our operations.
-
Whistleblowing Policy: We encourage our employees, partners, and customers to report any concerns regarding unethical practices without fear of retaliation.
-
Ethical Sourcing: We evaluate new suppliers based on their commitment to fair wages, safe working conditions, and the prohibition of child labour.
4. Due Diligence Processes
To identify and mitigate risk, we perform the following actions:
-
Supplier Screening: We conduct desk-based research and request compliance documentation from all new major suppliers.
-
Contractual Obligations: Where possible, we include clauses in our agreements that require suppliers to comply with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.
-
Ongoing Monitoring: We maintain regular communication with our supply partners to stay informed about their labour practices and factory conditions.
5. Risk Assessment
We recognise that the global manufacturing of electronics and footwear carries an inherent risk of labour exploitation. To manage this:
- We avoid sourcing from regions with documented systemic human rights abuses.
- We prioritise suppliers who hold recognised social responsibility certifications (such as ISO 45001 or SA8000).
6. Training & Awareness
We ensure that our team members responsible for procurement and supply chain management are aware of the "red flags" of modern slavery and understand the importance of ethical decision-making.
7. Approval
This statement has been reviewed and approved by the Director of HamzaPvt LTD for the 2026 financial year.
